SPECIAL EVENT AT THE COMEDY BAR
OCTOBER 23: AHMED AHMED HEADLINES
Looking for things to do in downtown Chicago in October? Join us for an evening of laughs, in conjunction with Gino’s East & Brewing Co benefitting The Alliance For The Great Lakes with headliner Ahmed Ahmed on October 23rd. You know him from TBS’ hit comedy series Sullivan & Son and a handful of blockbuster and cult hit features including Swingers, Iron Man, and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan. Ahmed has also appeared on top series such as Tracy Takes On, Weeds, and Roseanne to name a few and you may remember him from the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour with Maz Jobrani and appearances at clubs across the country.
As a company, we believe that sticking to the basics and doing them really, really well is the best path to success. It is exemplified in our name, our programming and even the venue itself. We offer great comedy, for a decent price, in a beautiful room that serves quality food/drinks with exceptional guest service. People don’t visit our venue just for the comedians on our stage, they come to us for an EXPERIENCE. The Comedy Bar’s motto is “Comedy Done Differently” and we stick to this principle in everything we do.
The Comedy Bar started out as a show in a downtown bar back in 2011. We quickly gained popularity and began to expand our programming schedule to meet the demand. In 2015, the club joined forces with Chicago staple, Gino’s East, in River North. In our current home, we offer 7 days of stand up a week, a full menu of authentic Chicago food and in-house brewed craft beer from Gino’s Brewing Company. The Comedy Bar has two stages: the main stage venue and our B-stage, which also offers live music and is located inside Gino’s Brew Pub.
We are excited to announce the expansion and nationalization of our brand! The Comedy Bar- Nashville will be opening in summer of 2018 in partnership with another location of the Gino’s East restaurant brand. We are most excited to get to be a part of such an amazing city and its growth, as well as the opportunity to help cultivate Nashville’s growing stand up scene.
